The highway was closed at Church Ranch Road after a motorcyclist hit a barrier and lost control. Police say the victim was struck by other vehicles after the crash.
Alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the crash, according to police. The identity of the victim has not been released.
The eastbound lanes remained closed as of 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.
