The unidentified girl from St. Louis disappeared when she was 15-years-old on April 6, 2010. St. Louis police listed her as a missing or runaway juvenile.
The victim escaped from a home in the 1400 block of North Kingshighway in Washington Park, Illinois and went to police Wednesday. She also told authorities she had a child while she was held, and was beaten and sexually assaulted.
She told police as she tried to escape a suspect tried to pull her back into the home, but her relatives were at the scene and helped her escape and contact police.
Washington Park police told NewsChannel 5 the victim disappeared when she was 15, and that she told them she is now 19. We asked police about the age discrepancy, and they said the victim was reported missing in April 2010, but she may have been missing before that date.
Thursday evening one man was arrested at the home on N. Kingshighway and a 2-year-old child was rescued.
The name of the suspect has not been released because charges have not been filed.
NewsChannel 5 has a crew on the scene and will provide more information as details become available.
