Westminster police announced Wednesday that a body was discovered during the search for missing 10-year-old Jessica Ridgeway.
The body was discovered in the Pattridge Park open space at West 82nd Avenue and Quaker Street in Arvada. Police can't confirm if the body found was Jessica.
Just a few miles south of there, The Jefferson County School District sent letters to parents in September warning them of suspicious incidents involving young children.

The first incident happened near 77th Drive and Terry Court, less than a mile from where the body was found. An 8-year-old boy was approached by a man in his driveway. The child was able to get away.
The second incident happened three days later in the parking lot of Fitzmorris Elementary where the man approached a 9-year-old boy. He offered the child candy, but the child declined and ran away.
The man in both incidents was described a white male between the ages of 20 and 40 with brown hair.
A year earlier, Arvada police said a man was targeting children in the near 69th and Robb Street in Arvada.
