The Aurora Sentinel reports plans for the redesigned theater include turning theater 9, where the attack happened, into an extreme digital cinema with massive screens stretching from wall to ceiling.
The building plan estimates costs of $950,000 for materials. It describes upgrades and changes in exterior lighting and design. It says the theater will have 360 seats, down from 421 listed in the theater's original plans from 1997.
There's no information about whether a memorial is planned there. Twelve people died after being shot inside the theater on July 20.
