To date, 804,000 ballots were cast. Here are the party affiliations of those voters:
- 38 percent Republicans
- 36 percent Democrats
- 26 percent Unaffiliated/third party
This represents a 2-point turnout lead for the GOP in Colorado. Last week's report showed a 3-point advantage.
These figures cannot be used to conclude which Presidential candidate may be ahead in Colorado. The actual votes cast by these people will not be tallied until election night.
However, it can provide insights into the enthusiasm of partisan voters. Colorado Democrats had much higher turnout numbers than Republicans in 2008.
