Luke M. Buchanan, 24, of Washington D.C., is facing a misdemeanor charge of unlawful sexual contact.

Police say Buchanan, working in Loveland, went to the home of 21-year-old Breana Haner Tuesday afternoon and identified himself as a member of the Obama campaign. Haner says Buchanan asked her a few questions about the campaign and voting and then he offered her an Obama sticker and insisted on putting it on her.

"He put the sticker right over my breast to push it on, you know how you put stickers on so they stay, and he grabbed my right breast. It happened so fast," Haner said.

After the man left, Haner told her mom and they called the police. Haner also notified the Obama campaign headquarters in Loveland and says they apologized profusely.

"I was in shock. I obviously felt violated. I was really embarrassed. I know I didn't do anything wrong, but it was embarrassing," Haner said. "When I told the campaign about it they promised me they would make sure the guy was found and arrested."

After the incident, investigators contacted the Loveland Obama campaign office where Buchanan was working. The campaign acted right away and worked with police to identify Buchanan.

Haner says she does not hold the Obama campaign or the Democratic Party responsible for the incident.

The Colorado Democratic Party Communications Director Matt Inzeo offered the following statement:

We have a zero tolerance policy for inappropriate behavior. As soon as we learned about this incident, we took immediate action, and the person in question has been terminated. The actions of one individual in no way reflect the hard work being done every day by the thousands of employees and volunteers of the Colorado Democratic Party who have spent countless hours talking to their friends and neighbors about the importance of this election.

The suspect was booked into the Larimer County Jail.
