Toy expert Christopher Byrne talked about some of the most-wanted toys this holiday season.
"For the second year on our most wanted list, this is 'the Leap Pad 2 explorer'. This is an all new Leap Pad with twice the memory, great apps. It's basically a talent for kids. There is a camera on the front and a camera on the back. [They have] kept the price at $99, so it's a great investment over time," Byrne said.
"Something a little low tech these are 'The Glow Glow Inkoos' from the bridge direct. They have glow in the dark fabric on them that glows actually as you draw on it and you can use the light pen to draw on the belly. If you don't like what you did, throw it in the wash and start it again. That's about $24.99," Byrne said.
Byrne is the Content Director for "Time to Play" - a review magazine of infant products, video games and movies as they pertain to toys.
Through his 29-year toy tenure, Byrne has worked in marketing, media, operations, product development and creative.
He is the founder of Byrne Communications and a researcher, analyst and consultant who has worked with a variety of Fortune 100 companies tracking kid trends, product development and strategic marketing campaigns.
