One of the supplies at the top of the list is liquor. The demand for it increases exponentially the day before Thanksgiving.

Argonaut Liquor Store representative Ron Vaughn talked about how many people they will serve today.

"Today is our biggest day of the year actually. We'll probably serve close to 9,000 people," Vaughn said.

Vaughn explained why liquor stores are so much busier at Thanksgiving, compared to other parts of the year.

"Thanksgiving is everybody's favorite holiday. [It's] time to get together and enjoy great food and great spirits. So they got to come see us and we buy a lot of pizzas today too," Vaughn said.

He also talked about the popular products during Thanksgiving.

"Thanksgiving people tend toward wine. But here in Colorado, Colorado products are hot," Vaughn said.

Vaughn also talked about how sales are this year compared to last year.

"We're doing pretty good. It feels like there is a little bit of a sense of optimism and spirits are an attainment dollar. People have seemed to loosen up, particularly this time of year, the baskets are big," Vaughn said.

"I think so, just talking with the customers, now that all the contentious election is over, people seemed to be ready to settle in and make a little money," Vaughn said.
