Police seek Arvada husband accused of arson that killed family dog

His family was not home, but the fire killed a dog and injured two other pets. The charges against him include first-degree arson, burglary, felony animal cruelty, trespassing and violating a protective order. He's free on $75,000 bond.

Court records show the charge of a bail violation was added in Rascon's case on Nov. 21. The couple filed for divorce on June 21 and the divorce is scheduled to be complete on Dec. 6, records show.

Rascon is described as white, 6 feet tall, 175 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes.

"He should be considered dangerous," Arvada police said in a media release Tuesday. "... The public is asked not to approach Rascon if they see him, but rather call local law enforcement."
