CDOT says they will have around 75 plows working to de-ice roads throughout Wednesday night and into Thursday morning, but because temperatures are dipping into the single digits the chemicals crews use won't be as effective.
Overpasses, bridges and ramps are place where ice is more likely to form. CDOT says their crews will be concentrating on de-icing those areas, along with roadways.
They're using both liquid and solid deicers which will help prevent ice from forming and it breaks down ice that has already formed. It's still likely that drivers will experience potentially dangerous conditions.
CDOT is encouraging everyone to drive slowly and with caution.
