To ring in the New Year, there are two firework displays along the 16th Street Mall, one for families starting at 9 p.m. and a traditional second party rallying at midnight.
Tens of thousands of people are expected to jam the 16th Street Mall, entertained by DJs, live music, magicians and balloon artists. Activities downtown include outdoor ice skating and horse-drawn carriages clattering up and down the street.
