Robert Anthony Rubio, 26, faces first-degree murder charges in connection to the death.

At 9:40 p.m., police responded to 1044 South Alcott Street on a report of a shooting.

Responding officers found two men suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Both victims were transported to a nearby hospital. One victim had non-life threatening injuries and the second victim, Troy Anthony Martinez, 21, died a short time later.
