Two of the six athletes visited the 9News studios to talk about their athletic accomplishments, gold medals and the upcoming games. Bryan Terry, a 26 year Special Olympics athlete, will compete in cross country skiing. His teammate Amanda Douglass will compete in figure skating, a sport she has medalled in previous competitions. Mindy Watrous from Special Olympics Colorado joined the athletes and brought up the annual SOCO Polar Plunges coming up in February. These events are key fundraisers and help send deserving athletes like Bryan and Amanda across the world to events like the World Games.
