Forecast highs across the state will climb in the 20s for the plains, colder in north central Colorado with highs in the mid-teens.
Single digit temperatures and near zero temperatures are forecast for several mountain and mountain valley communities.
Snow will remain in the forecast through the evening for the foothills and metro area with less than half an inch of accumulation.
Mountains snow on Sunday will be south of I-70. Accumulations will be from 1 to 3". No mountain travel advisories have been issued.
Temperatures for the start of the work week will remain below freezing, and become more seasonal by Tuesday. The warm-up continues through Wednesday when the highs will be in the 50s.
