The incident happened just before 6 a.m.
When officers arrived, they found a woman who was shot and a man who was stabbed inside the home.
Both were transported to a nearby hospital where the woman was pronounced dead.
Her death is being investigated as a homicide. Police do not think any other suspects are involved.
