THORNTON - The Adams 12 School Board in Thornton voted to approve a conditional charter for the Colorado Virtual Academy, letting it operate for one year.

Adams 12 will not renew a charter for COVA after the 2014 school year. The future of COVA would then depend on the school finding a new district.

More than 4,400 online students attend the school.
