NBC - A snow storm created white-out conditions and slick roads around Detroit on Saturday, causing numerous accidents and forcing some highways to close.

The storm turning Interstate 75 into something more like skating rink.

The pileup appeared to involve two dozen cars and trucks, a car carrier and a tanker truck.

Police say the icy roads caused multiple spin-outs and accidents, bringing the southbound lanes to a standstill.

Across Detroit there were numerous accidents, forcing sections of some highways to shut down.

There is no word on how many people have been injured.
