LOVELAND - Loveland police arrested a man Thursday who they say tried to kidnap a woman at a shopping center.

Police say 31-year-old Robert Coffman went up to the woman in the parking lot of the Orchards Shopping Center around 8:30 Thursday morning. The woman says he showed a weapon of some kind and tried to get in her vehicle.

The woman fought back, and she said Coffman ran away. Police found and arrested him later in the day in Loveland.

No other details have been released.
