KUSA- ESPN will have its first big competitor in the cable-sports channel arena this summer. Fox has announced that they will launch a 24-hour sports-cable network starting in August.
Fox is confident that the the new network - which will be called Fox Sports 1 - will have enough live events to keep it going featuring college basketball and football, NASCAR, soccer and UFC fights.
The network expects to broadcast 5,000 hours of programming just in the first year.
