KUSA - The Colorado Department of Transportation warns motorists that conditions are rapidly deteriorating in many areas of the state Saturday afternoon.

CDOT says its crews are still on snow shift but high winds and poor visibility are making it challenging to maintain the roads.

CDOT strongly advises people not to travel on the eastern plains. Roads in Denver and the Front Range are slushy, icy and snow packed in spots.

For travel information, call 511 or visit www.cotrip.org. You can also download CDOT mobile for the I-25 and I-70 corridors by texting CDOT to 25827 or downloading CDOT Mobile from the app store.
