BRIGHTON - Police are looking for the man accused of sexually assaulting a woman on a popular walking path.

Brighton police say the woman was attacked on the path along the South Platte River between Bromley Lane and Bridge Street last Tuesday between 1:30 p.m. and 1:45 p.m.

Brighton resident Cristina Glidewell didn't know about the attack when she came to Veteran's Park for her usual walk.

"That's insane. That makes me so scared. I don't feel safe and it's not the same place anymore," Glidewell said.

The man is described as a light-skinned African American or dark-skinned Hispanic. He's in his mid 20s to mid 30s, around 6 feet tall with an athletic build and a deep voice.

The man was wearing a dark beanie hat with a dark shirt with a design on the left breast area.

If you have information, you are asked to call Brighton Police at 303-655-8740, or contact Detective J Moore: jmoore@brightonco.gov
