KUSA - A three-vehicle crash on Highway 93 killed a Littleton woman and shut down Highway 93 for several hours.
It happened around 4:20 p.m. Wednesday on Highway 93 near mile marker 10.
The Colorado State Patrol says a northbound Subaru, driven by 21-year-old Michael McCoy, was attempting to pass a Hyundai in a no passing zone when an oncoming Jaquar forced the Subaru back on to his lane where he clipped the Hyundai.
After striking the Hyundai, the Subaru re-entered the southbound lane and struck the Jaguar Head-on. The Subaru then rolled over and landed on its roof in the middle of the roadway. The Jaguar crossed the northbound lane and struck the guardrail on the east side of the roadway.
The driver of the Jaguar, a 61 year-old female from Littleton, died on scene. McCoy was transported to a Boulder Hospital for minor injuries. The driver and occupants of the Hyundai were uninjured.
The Highway was closed after the crash and reopened later Wednesday evening.
The crash remains under investigation.
