Colorado weather forecast: One more cold night before a major warming trend

KUSA - With light winds and clear skies temperatures will once again drop to almost record lows.

Denver's official snowfall for April is currently 20.4 inches with, 75.0 inches for the season.  The average snowfall for April is 9.0 inches and 57.5 inches is our seasonal average.

Even with more than 20 inches of snow this month has not yet cracked the Top 10 Snowiest Aprils in Denver.

The snowiest season on record is 1908-09 with 118.7 inches of snow at Union Station in lower Downtown.

Denver set a record low of 21 degrees Monday, eclipsing the old record of 22 degrees set in 1874.

The melt of this storm will be quick with Wednesday's highs in the 50s, followed by 60s and 70s as we head into the weekend.
