DENVER - In the last year, Denver police say they have worked 17 cases of dog theft. On Saturday, they opened another investigation in the Highlands.
Wendy Aronson says she and her partner left their home for two hours, leaving their black and grey Miniature Schnauzer, Eve, in the backyard with their gate locked. When they returned to their home near 28th and Vrain in the Highlands neighborhood, Eve was gone and their gate was opened.
Aronson called police and started posting signs around her neighborhood. Eve has a red collar with her owner's names on it. She has a cropped tail and ears, weighs about ten pounds and looks like a puppy.
Eve's owners are offering a reward for her return. They can be reached at 303-520-7581 or by e-mail at email@example.com.
