DENVER - If you mess with the bull, you will get the horns, as the old adage says. Though, some "bulls" in Denver's Highland neighborhood may look a little tamer.
Inspired by the Running of the Bulls in Pamplona, Spain, the Rocky Mountain RollerGirls are challenging Denverites to outrun them.
It will be a day of celebration for those who are able to escape the onslaught of the Rocky Mountain RollerGirls, and will raise money for Tennyson Center for Children, whose aim is to "work with children, youth, and their families to overcome a variety of life crises, including abuse and neglect."
Be sure to dress in all white and wear a red accent, just like they do in Pamplona.
Post race festivities will include music, food, drinks, dancing, and general celebration.
Mark your calendars for the 1K run (that's not a typo) on July 13 at 9 a.m. Register for the race here, http://bit.ly/l4YT9X.
