KUSA - Verne Lundquist - who is best known as a CBS Sports broadcaster - will be giving play-by-play analysis for the Denver Broncos' last preseason game Thursday night.

The Broncos will face the Arizona Cardinals at 7 p.m. at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.

Lundquist began his broadcasting career as a sports anchor for WFAA in Dallas, Texas and in Austin, Texas for KTBC. Many diehard Dallas Cowboys fans may recognize his voice since he joined the Cowboys Radio Network in 1967 and remained with the team until the 1984 season.

Nationally, Lundquist worked for ABC Sports from 1974 until 1981. Then moved to CBS in 1982 and stayed until 1995. At that point, he migrated over to TNT for a couple of years before returning to CBS in 1998.

Lundquist has a Colorado connection because he now lives in Steamboat Springs.
