BOULDER - U.S. Bicycling Hall of Famer Dale Stetina remains in a medically induced coma after a serious cycling accident on Saturday.
Stetina was riding down Lefthand Canyon when he crashed. He braked too hard and was thrown over the handlebars.
His family says he's making incredible progress. Doctors originally thought he would be paralyzed on his left side, but he has regained some movement.
Stetina's brother says it's much better than the original prognosis.
Stetina is 57 years old and was a member of the 1976 and 1980 U.S. Olympic cycling teams.
He was training for a ride in Italy with his son when the accident happened.
