KUSA - Animals evacuated because of flooding are ending up at shelters across the state.

RECENT COLORADO FLOODING STORIES

The Humane Society of Boulder Valley is reporting they have 60 animals because of the floods. Larimer Humane Society has cycled through dozens just this week.

The Humane Society of Boulder Valley and Larimer Humane Society say they have both gotten donations from the Colorado Pet Pantry. Boulder Humane Society says it has also gotten help from Purina ONE, KONG and PetSmart.

Larimer posted on their Facebook page some think they can't take their pets with them if they're airlifted out, but that's not true. That shelter has an extensive document detailing what to do you if your pet needs temporary shelter or you would like to help.

Both humane societies and others in affected areas have information on their Facebook pages and websites about how you can donate.
