BOULDER - The Boulder County Office of Emergency Management released Friday dramatic satellite imagery showing the devastation from the floods.
Satellite imagery and analysis from Digital Globe shows homes and neighborhoods underwater in of Longmont and Lyons. The pictures were taken last Saturday.
The images also show the the Lyons wasterwater plant surrounded by debris from the Saint Vrain River.
In Longmont, the satellite images show the Saint Vrain River spilled out of its banks as it rushed to the east. It overwhelmed fields north of the airport and as it made its way over Airport Road.
Row after row of homes were flooded as the water covered Twin Peaks Golf Course.
