KUSA -The latest winter storm to make its way through the Rockies is exiting Colorado today but not without giving us the cold shoulder. The first hard freeze of the season brought temperatures in the upper 20s across the Front Range Saturday morning.

Temperatures are expected to rise into the mid to upper 50s across the Front Range by this afternoon with clearing skies throughout the day. All travel advisories have expired for higher elevations but breezy winds are still expected to gust up to 20mph.

Winds will improve along the Front Range but still gusting up to 20mph, while stronger winds are expected along the Eastern Plains for the rest of the afternoon.
A high wind warning will be in effect for Kit Carson, Yuma and Cheyenne Counties until 6 p.m. for winds from 25 to 35 mpg, and gusts from 45 to 50 mph. Wind speeds will decrease in the late afternoon and evening.

Freezing temperatures are possible again Saturday evening under clear skies and lighter winds.

Temperatures on Sunday will be closer the seasonal average with highs in the upper 60s and low 70s. Dry conditions and above seasonal temperatures are expected through the middle of the week with the next storm arriving late Thursday or Friday.
