KUSA - After Dec. 31, there will be a new system to take the GED test.
Right now, the test is paper, but in January, it will become an online test.
The test contains four different parts that can be taken at any time. However, once the new format is enforced, all of the current scores will be erased.
Mayor Hancock is urging those who are in the process of taking the test to finish before Dec. 31.
"At the Denver Work Force Centers we'll be issuing those tests," Mayor Hancock said.
The tests cost about $150, and the centers are going to help pay for some of the tests.
Mayor Hancock says they have a couple hundred free vouchers and four amnesty days.
