Armored car driver leaves weapon in school restroom

EVERGREEN - A parent volunteer found a gun and belt left by an armored car driver in a restroom at Marshdale Elementary School.

The gun was found Thursday by a member of the parent group "Watchdog Dads." It was turned over the to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.

The driver was making a routine stop at the school. The gun was left in an adult restroom .

The Jeffco Sheriff's Department will work with the district attorney to determine if any charges will be filed.

No one at the school was injured.
