DENVER - Police and federal agents raided multiple locations involved in the medical marijuana business on the morning of Nov. 21.
During one of those raids, federal agents captured Hector Diaz, 49, of Colombia. He was charged Friday with illegal possession of firearms. He was in the United States on a visa.
When Diaz was arrested, police searched his Cherry Hills Village home in the 50 block of Sedgwick Drive. They found five assault rifles, one shotgun and five handguns, as well as a large stash of ammunition.
If convicted, Diaz faces 10 years in federal prison and up to a $250,000 fine.
