WESTMINSTER - Austin Sigg is seen on video confessing to Westminster Police the night he was arrested for killing 10-year-old Jessica Ridgeway.
The video was recorded at Westminster Police Department headquarters on Oct. 23, 2012 and released by the Jefferson County District Attorney's office after 9Wants to Know filed a public records request.
On the video, Sigg goes into detail about the day he kidnapped Jessica.

Some portions of the video have been redacted by the District Attorney's Office because it felt some of Sigg's descriptions were too gruesome for public disclosure.
"I was just driving and just kind of looking. And I saw her ... found the place to park. And I parked, and I waited. And she walked by, and I grabbed her," Sigg told police on the video. "It was a random place, a random time. Random everything."
"I don't feel like I'm the kind of person who would do this kind of thing. And yet, I'm sitting here," Sigg said on video.
The police video is part of a series of documents and evidence being released by the District Attorney's Office in the wake of Sigg's sentence of life in prison earlier in November.
9Wants to Know is still reviewing the video and will post the video once it's been properly screened.
