KUSA - Just a month removed from open heart surgery John Fox will return to the place he feels the most comfortable - on the sideline.
Fox spent many of his years as an assistant coach in the booth during games. He asserted that there are advantages from that perspective including that you are removed from the emotional toils that exist in every game, but the head coach wants to feel that again after being absent for the past four weeks.
"On the field you have a little bit better feel for the players. You look right into their eyes-communication-wise it's direct and you're not going through somebody," Fox said on making the decision to roam the sidelines on Sunday against Tennessee.
"There are probably cons for both but I'm looking forward to getting back on the field with the team and business as usual," he continued.
Fox's doctors gave him clearance to be back on the sideline leading the Broncos on Sunday.
