KUSA - Thanks to Saturday's upset win over Kansas, the Colorado men's basketball team is ranked in the top 25 for the first time in more than a year.

Colorado was ranked No. 21 in The Associated Press poll that was released Monday. The Buffs (9-1) beat the then-No. 6 Jayhawks 75-72 on Askia Booker's buzzer-beater Saturday.

As well, Booker was named the Pac-12 Conference player of the week. He had 15 points against Kansas and 12 earlier last week in the win at Colorado State. Kansas dropped to No. 13 in this week's poll.

The Buffs did not crack the USA Today/Coaches poll, but are the second team in those also receiving votes. CU next plays Friday at home against Elon.

The last time the CU men were ranked was Nov. 26, 2012, when they peaked at No. 19. Before that, the Buffs last time in the poll was February 2006.

With the CU women at No. 11 in this week's poll, it is the first time since the end of the 1996-97 season that both teams were ranked at the same time.
