KUSA - Loveland Pass was closed Wednesday while crews removed a truck that rolled down an embankment Tuesday night.
The driver, 31-year-old Jason Munsee, was injured.
A woman called 9NEWS saying she is a family member of Munsee's and spoke to him after the crash.
She says he had pulled over to the side of the road Tuesday night and had the brakes on, but the truck began sliding down the mountain.
"He realized once the truck came to a stop that he was injured and had to crawl out his window," she said. "He realized the snow was up to his chest, and he could not walk through it, so he got back in his truck."
She says after Munsee waited two hours for help, he climbed out again and waded through the snow until he came to a road where he flagged down another trucker.
Authorities say Munsee was taken to Saint Anthony's hospital. The extent of his injuries has not been released.
The road was reopened Wednesday evening.
