Colorado Weather Forecast: Frigid morning lows as skies clear Sunday night

KUSA - Extreme cold will settle in over the Front Range overnight as strong winds intensify the mountains and foothills.

Late tonight into Monday very strong winds will develop in the Front Range mountains and foothills with gusts over 70 mph.

Temperatures will begin to plummet below zero overnight with dangerous wind chill readings along the Eastern Plains into Nebraska and Kansas. 

From Watkins to the north and east along I-76 a WIND CHILL ADVISORY is in effect until 8 a.m. Monday for wind chill readings of -20 to -30 degrees.

WIND CHILL WARNINGS are in effect for Yuma, Kit Carson, and Cheyenne counties for wind chill readings of -20 to -40 degrees through 10 a.m. Monday.
