DENVER - The winter storm that dumped almost a foot of snow on parts of the Front Range affected travel for many people Saturday.

Denver police said there were at least 100 accidents reported.

A multi-vehicle crash earlier in the day on eastbound Interstate 70 between Kipling Street and Wadsworth Boulevard created delays for about an hour and a half.

There were a few cars off the side of the road on Interstate 25 in the Tech Center. Some Front Range communities were on accident alert.

Denver Public Works said crews will continue to aggressively spread ice slicer throughout the system, as roads that are slushy Saturday may become icy as temperatures drop and snow showers continue.

The snow was having an impact on air travel as well.

About 60 flights were canceled at Denver International Airport due to the weather. Most of them have been commuter flights. Delays were averaging about an hour.
