Norovirus outbreak at Legacy High School

BROOMFIELD - Norovirus is a very contagious virus that can infect anyone. It commonly happens in cruise ships or nursing homes or even schools.

On Wednesday, 9NEWS learned of an outbreak at Legacy High School in Broomfield.

Legacy High School sent a letter to parents, letting them know about the high number of absences.

Students are experiencing abdominal cramps, nausea, vomiting, headache and low-grade fever.

The district's asking parents to keep their sick students' home for 48 hours after the last episode of vomiting or other symptoms.
