THORNTON - Thornton police said a barricaded subject may be the man wanted in the murder of two women in Weld County. On Friday night, the body of a man was in the home.
Authorities have surrounded a Thornton apartment Friday night after investigators received information that 37-year-old Cimmeron Johns was potentially inside a residence in that area.
Witnesses say they heard several shots fired near where Johns is believed to be holed up.
Johns is wanted in connection with the discovery of two female bodies found by a surveyor in Weld County Friday morning.

Deputies believe the bodies belong to Sherri Pachello, 56, and her daughter, Alisha Johns, 36.
Authorities say Alisha Johns went to her husband's home Thursday and Pachello went to get her. Authorities say Pachello later called her husband saying her SUV was being chased by a car.
Witnesses told the deputies that the two women were being chased by Cimmeron Johns.
A car matching the description of the car Johns was seen leaving in, a gold Ford Explorer, was found at 10200 Ura Lane in Thornton later Friday evening.
Deputies say Cimmeron Johns' car was found wrecked and abandoned. The Ford Explorer found in Thornton belongs to Alisha Johns.
