KUSA - What would you do if you saw a cold, improperly dressed stranger sitting alone in the snow?
How about if that stranger was a child?
SOS Children's Villages is a group that works to ensure children grow up in safe homes. They decided to test what people would do if they saw a cold child alone on the streets.
Setting up a hidden camera in Oslo, Norway, SOS put Johannes, 11, at a bus stop alone in the snow wearing only a small sweater and jeans.
During their 2-minute forty second video, everyone waiting at the bus stop helped Johannes by providing him with some clothes.
He was given a pair of gloves, a scarf and jackets from various good Samaritans.
The point of the video was to promote harsh winters faced by children in Syria.
With ongoing struggles Syrian children are still living in hard conditions lacking proper clothing, nutrition and housing.
SOS Children's Villages is asking for donations to give children in Damascus and Aleppo winter jackets, food and blankets.
