KUSA - A Denver chef of a popular restaurant was shot and killed by two 16-year-olds, police say.

Nicholas Lewis, 33, was shot several times on Oct. 1 on the 3000 block of South Acoma Street. Lewis, a chef at Blackbird Public House, later died at the hospital.

The names of the teens -- who have both been charged with first-degree murder and attempt to commit aggravated robbery -- have not been released. The teens were in custody on unrelated charges when the charges in this case were filed.

Englewood Police did not offer any more information on the crime other than what has been reported previously.

A press conference will be held on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m.

Lewis also used to work at another popular eatery, The Denver Biscuit Company.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to pay for funeral arrangements and to set up a college fund for Lewis' 8-year-old son.
