2 men wanted for abuse of a corpse, conspiracy

COLORADO SPRINGS - Warrants have been issued for two men after police found potential human remains stored in a home.

Authorities first became aware that something was amiss on Sept. 25, when police received a phone call regarding suspicious circumstances in the 2500 block of North Cascade Avenue.

Investigators later issued warrants for two men in connection to the body. It’s unclear how the person died, who it is or how they may have known the suspects.

Craig Brown, 34, and J. Timothy Brown, 51, are wanted for first-degree criminal trespass, conspiracy and abuse of a corpse.

Anyone with information about their whereabouts or the investigation is asked to call the Colorado Springs Police Department at 719-444-7000.
