4 fires in Wheat Ridge are being investigated as arson

WHEAT RIDGE, CO. - Four late night and early morning fires at three locations are being investigated as arson.

The fires happened all within a half-mile of one another within the last month.

The first fire was set just before 11 p.m. on October 10th, in the laundry room at the Best Interstate Inn. Police said two witnesses put the fire out before Arvada Fire arrived. The inn is located at 4735 Kipling Street. Police said another fire was set here at around 1:30 a.m. on Halloween. Police said that fire was started in the stairwell on the east side of the building.

The second fire was set at Kipling Village apartments located at 4635 Kipling Street. Police said that fire was set in a stairwell at around 11:30 p.m. on October 21st. 

The third fire was reported on October 28th at 4:40 a.m. Police said a fire was started at the American Motel on the south side of the building.
