LOVELAND - Four people are in custody following a robbery and police chase in northern Colorado.

Just before 5 p.m. Wednesday Loveland police say a man stole clothing from the Zumiez store at 5897 Sky Pond Drive. He told clerks he had a gun and exited out the back of the store where he got into a black Honda Civic with three others inside.

A short time later a Loveland officer spotted that vehicle on southbound Interstate 25 near Mile Marker 254. The officer attempted to pull the car over but the driver refused to comply. That officer and other units began to pursue the suspects until they exited the highway at SR 119 in Weld County and continued onto the Frontage Road.

Officers attempted three PIT maneuvers and were eventually successful in stopping the vehicle. All four people in the car were taken into custody.

There were no injuries, however two Loveland police vehicles were damaged.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call Sergeant Ryan Ertman with the Loveland Police Department at 970-962-2272.
