Amber Alert canceled in Denver

9NEWS at 9 p.m. 10/28/16.

KUSA - An Amber Alert was issued after a possible abduction in the Stapleton area on Friday. 

It happened about 10:40 a.m. at 36th Avenue and Quebec Street. 

Police were searching for a white man in his 40s with blonde hair. 

The victim is described as a white girl in her early teens. 

DPD originally said this was a possible sexual assault case. Hours later, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation issued the Amber Alert. 

Hours later, police said the alert was canceled and no abduction occured.
