Aurora man charged with coercion, production of child porn: DOJ

KUSA - A 37-year-old Aurora man is facing multiple charges related to allegedly 'training' young boys and producing child pornography over the course of months, prosecutors said.

A spokesperson for the U.S. Department of Justice says Ryan Charles McCraw is facing up to 30 years in prison on a litany of charges related to the alleged crime.

McCraw was indicted by a federal grand jury near the end of October earlier this year. His first day in court was December 4, authorities say.

According to court documents read in open court, McCraw is accused of meeting underage boys living in Denver through online chat services. He would then engage in sexually explicit conversations with them over a period of months.

The DOJ says he would also ask them to send him sexually explicit pictures through an online portal.

He would even entice the boys to meet with him in person - picking them up in his car if they were too young to drive themselves, the DOJ says. He'd then take them to his house and engage in sex acts with them.

Authorities say he filmed the sex acts and took pictures of the boys - some including bondage.

This behavior went on for well over a year with several victims.

Online, McCraw reportedly boasted of "training" a dozen young boys, law enforcement officials say.

The FBI says they believe there are still more victims of McCraw's acts. If you're a victim or maybe know a victim, please contact the FBI at 970-663-1028.

McCraw is facing two counts each of coercion and enticement, attempted coercion and enticement, and production of child pornography, according to the DOJ. He's also facing one count of transportation of child pornography.

The charges all carry various sentence lengths, but the child porn production charges carry with them the steepest penalty; a minimum of 15 years up to 30 years if found guilty.
