DPD trying to solve July murder of man walking dog

DENVER - Police are still trying to find the person who shot a 50-year-old man in the Baker neighborhood back in July.

Denver Police say John Field was walking his dog in the 100 block of West 1st Avenue at around 10:40 p.m. on July 9 when he got into an argument with the people inside a late model, black Chevrolet Camaro.

At one point, someone in the car fired multiple shots, hitting Field, who later died.

The Camaro drove away, and hasn’t been seen since.

Denver Police say the vehicle has very dark tinted windows and black rims with a chrome ring.

The vehicle may also have slight damage or scratches to the body just to the rear of the driver-side windows, police say.
