DENVER - A Medina Alert was issued for a hit-and-run driver that seriously injured a motorcyclist Saturday afternoon.
The crash happened on eastbound 6th Avenue and near Interstate 25. One person was taken to the hospital.
Police said they were looking for a dark blue or black 2008 Honda Accord with Colorado license plate 254- QUB. It may have light damage to the passenger side.
Shortly after the Medina Alert was issued it was canceled because the vehicle was located. Police say it was found unoccupied in Lakewood. Several people are being questioned.
The person driving is believed to be a white or Hispanic male in his late teens or early 20s according to police.
Medina alerts were created in 2014. They're named after after Jose Medina who was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver in 2011.
